Ginseng for Absolute Facial Beauty

To retain facial beauty and to remain younger for longer, take ginseng regularly. In addition to providing energy needed for old age, ginseng prevents disabling disorders, such as arthritis and heart diseases.

How to use ginseng to help you stop aging:

(1) First of all, take ginseng regularly. In China, ginseng is the best gift for an elderly individual for it retards aging.

In China, it is not uncommon for people to buy the best ginseng roots, put them in bottles soaked with brandy to be used in old age. If properly preserved, ginseng can retain its potency for many years. A testament to its efficacy as a medicinal herb, wild ginseng can be worth thousands of dollars in price. If stored in a tight container, ginseng can retain its potency indefinitely. Today, ginseng is widely grown in different parts of the world. However, wild ginseng is still exclusively sought.

Ginseng can make you look and stay younger because ginseng not only acts like a hormone (hormone decline in human is responsible for aging), but also stimulates the body to produce its own hormones. As such, it is anti-aging.

Given that ginseng has hormone-enhancing effect on the body, it can reverse male impotence.  Research studies indicated that mice given ginseng reached puberty much faster than untreated mice.  In human, sexual health holds the key to longevity health.

(2) Buy the best ginseng.

Ginseng is readily available in drug and health food stores all over the United States. However, finding the right ginseng may be challenging.
  • You need to determine the type of ginseng: American, Chinese, Japanese, or Korean?
  • You need to decide on the form of ginseng: root, tablet, powder, or tincture?
  • You need to know what you are getting for the money you pay: the quality or the grade.
Asian ginseng is the classical ginseng, which is most effective as a restorative tonic for long-term health and wellness: it regulates blood pressure, control diabetes, suppresses stress, and counteracts alcohol and drugs. Asian ginseng is anti-aging.

When you buy ginseng, consider the following:
  • Age: The older the root of the ginseng at the time of harvest, the more expensive it is. The age can range from 6 to 12 years. Anything younger than 4 years is not recommended. Ginsenosides, the most important ingredient in ginseng, are accumulated in the root over time. The age of the root is determined by the number of ridges or scars in the root.
  • Color: Only better-quality ginseng roots are selected for steaming to enhance the medicinal value of the roots. When they are steamed, the color turns from white or pale yellow to reddish.
  • Texture: Good-quality ginseng is hard and brittle, and the texture is dense.
  • Taste: Ginseng has a bitter, robust taste, with a tinge of sweetness.
  • Shape: A good ginseng root has the shape of a man: straight with intertwined rootlets or branches. Curled roots are inferior in quality.
The first choice in buying ginseng is to buy the whole root. Other than that, you can get standardized ginseng extract in tabletscapsules, or tinctures.Standardization is a way of processing ginseng that guarantees a certain fixed amount of ginsenosides in every dose. Buy products with concentrations of 4 to 7 percent of ginsenosides. Tinctures are concentrated alcohol extracts, and therefore are readily absorbed by the body.

Remember, take ginseng regularly for absolute facial beauty.

Holistic Skin Care

What is holistic skin care?

Holistic skin care is based on the principles of self-repairing and self-maintaining.

Your skin is your body’s biggest organ. Its built-in functions are as follows:

1. Regulating your body temperature

2. Eliminating toxins from your body

3. Preventing dehydration

4. Protecting your body from sun-damage through its pigment melanin

Nature has given your body its innate capability to repair itself. Good maintenance holds the key to rejuvenation, and hence absolute facial beauty.

According to holistic skin care, a super skin is the result of a super diet: you need to feed your skin healthily from the inside. Always eat Super Foods. In addition, you need to cleanse and nourish it from the outside. Absolute facial beauty derives from the inside as well as the outside.

Remember, all skin care products can do only so much, no matter how natural and organic they are.

The basics of holistic skin care products are:

1. Less is more. The fewer the ingredients of a skin care product, the better it is for your skin.

2. Your skin is not a separate entity but an important part of your whole body. Although your skin has limited absorptive capacity, theoretically, you should not put on your skin anything that you are not able to eat.

The holistic wisdom is to use little lotions and potions even for cleansing and moisturizing your skin.

Remoing Warts from Your Skin

Warts are skin infections caused by wart viruses, leaving unsightly elevated bumps on your skin, as well as on the lips and in the mouth. With or without treatment, warts may come and go, or they may stubbornly stay for a long period.

Given that warts are contageous, shaving or continually coming into contact with clothing may spread the wart virus.

To maintain absolute facial beauty, you may want to remove warts. Warts can be treated naturally:

Apple cider vinegar can be applied full strength soaked in a cotton ball. Leave it on to dry.

Castor oil is effective in removing warts. Apply a small amount of castor oil several times a day to the infected area.

Other natural substances you can use include: garlic, onion. pineapple, and potato skin. Rub them on the wart.

You can also dissolve an aspirin or two in half a teaspoon of water. Apply the solution to the infected area. If irritation occurs, apply some Vaseline to stop the skin irritation.

In addition to the above applications, you should have a balanced acid and alkaline diet, rich in vitamins A and E, to optimize your immune system to prevent outbreaks of warts.

Dry Skin and Sagging Jawline

Do you have a sagging jawline? If you do, it is no more than a sign of aging.

If you used to have normal skin, and now you experience dry skin, this, again, is another sign of aging.

Dry skin is one the characteristics of skin aging. As you age, your dermis (the inner layer of skin) becomes thin and transparent, revealing capillaries and veins, due to the breakdown of collagen (protein under the skin), and the loss of body fat. These physical changes are a result of menopause, which causes the loss of estrogen (female hormone).

Therefore, it is important to take care of your dry skin. Once the dryness is gone, your skin becomes more even toned with softer lines. Collagen stimulation is the process by which the body is stimulated to produce more collagen, thereby improving the structure and integrity of the skin. Fillers, used in collagen stimulation, simply act to temporarily add volume to the skin, giving the impression that the wrinkles no longer exist. The problem with these treatments is that they really only disguise the problem rather than solving it.

The lines at the corner of the mouth also come with age. These unsightly lines can be softened by injecting fillers. However, sagging around the jaw cannot be fixed by simply injecting fillers, or Botox. There is no magic potion to cure a sagging jawline, other than plastic surgery. The reason is that the aging process is more than skin deep: it affects not only your dermis and subcutaneous fat, but also your bones, muscles, and ligament. A sagging jawline is due to thinning skin, loss of subcutaneous fat, bone loss on cheeks and around the jaw, and loss of muscle massthey are the byproducts of aging. Therefore, all the cosmetic products on the market that claim to improve a sagging jawline only tighten the skin, and thus giving the illusion that your jawline no longer sags. Sagging around the jaw is an indication that your need a face-lift.

A change in lifestyle is the only way to improve your facial conditions. Do not smoke!Do not worship the sun! Do not drink alcohol! And take good care of your skin! For more information on facial beauty, go to: Absolute Facial Beauty.

Removing Acne Scars

The aftermath of acne is the unsightly acne scars left behind.

Acne is an inflammatory skin condition. Acne comes in different stages:

(1) Initially, the skin becomes red with node under the skin, accompanied by pain. If untreated, these conditions can last for weeks, or even months.

(2) Then the redness is overcome by dark pigment cells. These dark spots at former acne sites may persist for months or even years, resulting in acne scars.

(3) If inflammation is severe, tight scar tissues may form around the former acne sites, pulling the skin downward, and thus forming permanent pitting scars.

Unfortunately, acne scars may stubbornly stay on your skin for a long period of time -- especially if you have fair skin.

Remember the following:

(1) The deeper the acne cyst is, the longer the redness stays, and the more damaging it is to the skin.

(2) The darker your skin type is, the longer the redness will persist, eventually forming dark spots.

(3) The older you are, the longer the redness will linger on your skin.

Acne is an inflammatory condition that has to run its course.

At the onset of acne, use vascular lasers to interrupt the blood supply, thereby interrupting the inflammatory process and avoiding the formation of pitting scars. However, vascular lasers may be dangerous and unsuitable for individuals with dark skin. The reason is that vascular lasers may target not just the infected area, but also the background, thereby changing the skin color of and around the infected area by making it lighter in contrast to the rest of the skin. In addition, vascular lasers are expensive as well as uncomfortable procedures.

Another way of dealing with acne scars is using soft tissue augmentation, which involves filling pitting scars with your own body fat from another part of your body. The drawback of this "fat-grafting" procedure is that it has to be repeated every now and then.

The best remedy is to stop acne at the initial inflammatory stage through good skin care, personal hygiene, and an anti-inflammatory diet that prevents the outbreak of acne.

The Pro-Aging Factors of Obesity

Obesity has become an epidemic worldwide, especially in the United States. Obesity takes away not only your body image, but also your longevity. Obesity is pro-aging.

Those extra pounds in your body can significantly increase your risk of diabetes, heart disease, stroke, respiratory problems, gallstonethese are all life-threatening conditions that are not anti-aging.

But the most significant pro-aging factor is the reduction of HGH (Human Growth Hormone). With all its anti-aging benefits, HGH is released by the pituitary gland when you are sleeping. If you are obese or with weight problem, most probably you have an eating disorder that makes you crave carbohydrates. If you consume carbohydrates before bedtime, your body produces additional insulin, which inhibits the release of HGH. With lower level of HGH, you sleep less, and therefore produce less HGH and less energy; with less energy, you are prone to eating more carbohydrates, and thus forming a vicious cycle in the reduced production of HGH.

In addition, low level of HGH makes you burn less fat when you sleep, and you gain more body weight. With less HGH, you become more sluggish, you may not want to exercise as much as you should, and, as a result, you build less muscle. Remember, the more muscle you have, the more fat you burn while you sleep.

The bottom line: Reduce your consumption of refined sugar and simple carbohydrates, which increase your insulin, which in turn inhibits the release of HGHthe anti-aging hormone you need to make you look younger and healthier for longer. Regain your health through nutrition, where you will find solutions to different health problems related to obesity.

Removing Unwanted Facial and Body Hair

In women, as they continue to age, unwanted facial and body hair may grow on the chin, over the upper lip, and on the arms and legs. As much as 5 to 10 percent of women may have this problem of excess facial and body hair, due to genes or an increased sensitivity of the skin to certain male hormones in the body.

To get rid of excess and unwanted facial and body hair, the traditional methods are as follows:

(1) bleaching

(2) electrolysis

(3) plucking

(4) shaving

(5) waxing

Recently, laser hair removal has proven effective in the removal of unwanted hair, with hair loss for up to two or more years.

However, laser hair removal may have certain temporary undesirable side effects:

(1) blistering

(2) darkening of the skin

(3) redness

(4) swelling

Permanent side effects may include skin discoloration; that is, the skin of the treated areas may become much lighter in color.

Laser hair removal is a medical procedure that should not be taken lightly. Consider the following:

(1) Always choose a qualified practitioner with a good track record performing laser hair removal.

(2) Tell your practitioner if you have certain family medical conditions or hormonal problems.

(3) Avoid the sun prior to the procedure.

(4) Avoid plucking or waxing prior to the procedure.

(5) Thoroughly clean the areas of treatment; remove any makeup if your face is to be treated.
